After many years as a library media specialist in West Allis, Wisconsin, I now live in the beautiful hills of the Kickapoo Valley. Teaching technology classes keeps me motivated to stay current with new web 2.0 tools and keeps me working with teachers. Continuing to do these things I love balances well with the rest of my life on a guest ranch in southwest Wisconsin. I have taught for the John Muir Academy, Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology conference, Wisconsin Educational Innovations Academy, Cardinal Stritch College, the Wisconsin Association for Gifted and Talented conference. Don't I sound like a Wisconsinite? I have worked with service learning and gifted and talented programs in West Allis/West Milwaukee School District. My areas of expertise: library media programs, web 2.0 tools and information literacy and working with middle school students. Areas I am interested in and exploring: digital storytelling, embedding technology in the teaching of reading, using prezi (I've only begun learning this zooming presentation tool.)
